So I am currently at Starbucks listening to my lecture but it so happens that it's on a subject I'm pretty decent at so I decided to catch up on all of my projects and put them onto this blog!
For today I have the Dog Gone Cute quilt designed by Sew Fresh Quilts! I believe there was a quilt along a couple of months ago but at that time I don't think I had my sewing machine!
I'm actually following the dogs as it shows in the the quilt along! So far I only have three dogs!
Originally when I started making these dogs I told myself that my dogs will be gray and brown but... once I made my first dog, I wanted to make the dogs all sorts of colors!
The dog below is the first dog I've ever made. and I was instantly addicted! I'm not sure which block this would be on the quilt but I was just going in order of how it presented on the pattern! This dog looks like a Jack Russel Terrier!!
The second dog I made is a little gray one with a eye patch! At first I didn't like how the gray looked on him but as I kept looking at him, the more I fell in love with him!
The third dog I made over this past weekend! He's a red dog! In some places, he doesn't really line up but I still like him anyways! Next time I'll just have to be more careful with the seams and what not. I was really worried that I would not like him at all because I was actually hesitant to make a red dog but he looks great!
Based on my current progress, I think I'll probably make one dog every weekend. I think I have about nine dogs left to make to complete this quilt, which means it may take a little over two months to complete. I definitely want to be finished before then.
I also wish that I would have used a slightly patterned white fabric instead of a solid! I love patterned fabric but I guess a solid really pulls everything together.
That's it for now! I'll have more posts soon!
