I'm so excited to write up this post for some odd reason! As usual, I'm at Starbucks with my Chai Latte writing up this post instead of doing my work!
First off, I want to say a high THANK YOU to everyone who actually reads this blog! I never thought people would actually read the stuff that I write but I actually get a lot of views, whether people read or not, I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside knowing that people even visit my blog! Also, I realize that with the way my layout was, it was difficult for people to follow through email. Following blogs through email is my favorite way of looking at blogs so I changed my layout to make it easier for people to follow if they want to!
Alrighty then. So when I got my most recent order from Missouri Star Quilt Co. I got a charm pack from the Sweet Life collection by Pat Sloan for Moda!
As you may or may not realize, this is the same line of fabric I used in my Hashtag Quilt! When I made the Hashtag Quilt, there was way too many strips leftover from my Jellyroll to use it for scraps. I don't usually like to make something out of the same fabric but I thought since the quilt I want to make looks very different from my the Hashtag Quilt! What I love so far about this quilt is that it does not require a lot of materials to make the actual quilt top!
This new quilt is called the Jelly Charm Quilt! This quilt is found in the Craftsy class called Quilting Quickly. I totally recommend this class for beginners! There's so many quick and easy projects you can make!
I told myself that I will be completely monogamous when it comes to quilting but that is so wrong so far. I think it's mainly because I'm waiting for supplies to come in my mailbox so I get bored and want to work on other things! Well this quilt I totally broke the monogamy but I haven't touched it since I started the actual quilting of my Hashtag Quilt.
Well here's the progress of the quilt top so far!
This layout isn't going to be the final layout. I just wanted to lay it out to take pictures for the blog! I'm loving it so far! I didn't want to put up how to do this quilt top just because it's not my design but it should be easy enough to figure out if you don't want to purchase the class and there's also many similar patterns out in the internet!
